The NBA season is rapidly approaching and our flagship store is ready. Hitting the floor tomorrow will be a bunch of NBA Warm Up Jackets. Some that you’ve seen before along with some new ones. Here’s a sneak peek. They’ll be on our website soon too.

Indiana Pacers rookie, Paul George, rocking a Chicago Bulls hat on the team plane.
Not sure if I had to underline and bold that for you but someone you have probably never heard of Paul George or the Indiana Pacers. George is actually a pretty decent rookie with all kinds of upside (DRINK!) and potential (DRINK!). But this? This is inexcusable. Almost offensive, and I’m in no shape or form a Pacers fan.
In reality, this probably isn’t that big of a deal but imagine if LeBron did this while still playing for the Cavs? Apocalypse. Either way, T.J. Ford is right, this is deserves a fine or at least an atomic wedgie.

O&A: Verocai, Gordon & Griffin

Song By Arthur Verocai.

The Pacer Renaissance…
‘Tis a good day in the Deep Midwest.  The Pacers are on the way back.  Why?
Because Darren Collison is a legit pass first PG in this league.  Love his game.  Love it.  I can’t believe NO didn’t get more out of this trade.  They were forced to trade low, and only got Posey cap relief from this deal.  One more year and Collison will be better than Ariza*.  It’ll really stink when Paul starts sh*tting the bed to get out of NOLA.
Because Danny Granger is a good scorer, and could be a valuable trade asset come the deadline.  Because Hibbert has legit 7 foot length and serviceable back to the basket offense.  Because the Pacers have garbage men who know how to play their role, defend and rebound in Jeff Foster, Dahntay Jones and James Posey.  Because Luther Head knows how to shoot the ball off the bench, and well, if this George kid pans out…
Why I really think they’re on the come up is the cat pictured above.  Lance Stephenson might have some “issues,” but he can get to the hole, he’s a load doing it, can pull up from anywhere, and is one tough hombre from Coney Island.  He’s also the all-time leading scorer for high school basketball in the state of NY, and there’ve a been a couple of decent players in the NY and the PSAL…
ROY?  I don’t think it’s out of the question, if he plays some defense…  More than likely, in January, you’re going to be hearing stories talking about “Lance Stephenson overcoming personal struggles” on ESPN, and mentioned as the steal of the draft.
Personally guarantee he puts on a show at the Rookie Game at All-Star Weekend.
The guy was Born Ready.

*Trevor Ariza must be on suicide watch.  Agent loses a big hand to the Lakers, screws you from playing with the back-to-back Champions, and playing for the 3Peat.  Now he’s just trying to figure out how in the hell David West is a #2 option in the NBA.

Poster for the upcoming documentary from ESPN film’s 30 for 30 series Winning Time: Reggie Miller vs. The New York Knicks.
From director Dan Klores:

Reggie Miller gave New York the finger. The whole city.
The 6’7” wiry shooting guard of the Indiana Pacers tortured the Knicks. If he didn’t beat Riley, Ewing, Oakley and Starks with his quick release and unlimited range, he made them think he would. He took pleasure in letting the packed Madison Square Garden know it was his show and his game that they were watching during the 1994-1995 playoffs.
Winning Time: Reggie Miller vs. The New York Knicks, by award-winning filmmaker Dan Klores, will zero in on the dramatic seven game 1995 playoff series between Reggie’s Pacers and the Knicks. The series was front page news in the NYC tabloids, a war of words between the glib Miller and Knick fanatic Spike Lee, included appearances on Letterman, pronouncements by Giuliani, fistfights between teammates, near riots by Indiana fans, chokes, overtimes, finger rolls and bitterness not only between Hall of Fame coaches, Pat Riley and Larry Brown, but between the two most precious basketball cultures in America - Hoosier Land vs. “New Yawk”.

The film will screen at the Sundance Film Festival in January and gets its TV debut on ESPN March 14th at 9PM.

While Ron Ron practices his own version of kung-fu, Jeff Foster does some capoeira on the Raps’ Jarrett Jack (yes his real name is Jarret Jack).
