Fear the Durantula.

He might not win his 3rd consecutive scoring title this year. He might not secure his first ever MVP this season. But don’t let that fool you, Durant’s taken his game to another level this year. 

More balance, better defense, expanded offensive arsenal, smooth ball handling, feverish facilitation with the ball in his hands and first place in the West.

Oh, and he’s still not an asshole.

So we here at the Off-Season blog aren’t exactly latent in our support for the future of the NBA, Kevin Durant. In fact it’s borderline fanboy at this point. Quite embarrassing, really. BUT HEY! When Durant surpasses Kobe numbers and reaches Hall of Fame status, don’t act like we never made this Durant t-shirt when he was but a 21-year old on the rise.

Team USA opened training camp this afternoon, and they have some stable of NASTY guards:

Them boys get to the cup.  And despite that backcourt, the man in the photo will be the center of attention at the World Championships.

My prediction?  After the first quarter, the forward that’s guarding Durant for the Turkish National Team is going to come off the court and ask his coach, “What the fuck was that?”

Kevin Durant is so nasty.  So very nasty.
