Bomani nails it. Everyone else can go home now.

Before we start congratulating Adam Silver too much, remember Silver was the deputy NBA commissioner for twenty years of this Donald Sterling nonsense, and ignored his terrible behavior for years. He also might just give the team to Sterling’s wife..
From his Q&A:
 Q. Have there been any decisions about whether the immediate members of Mr. Sterling’s family, including Rochelle, will be allowed to remain in an ownership or managerial position in the league, as well?
ADAM SILVER: No, there have been no decisions about other members of the Sterling family, and I should say that this ruling applies specifically to Donald Sterling and Donald Sterling’s conduct only.

So the NBA may well have banned Donald Sterling to hand the team over to his wife - who was also sued by the government for racial discrimination in housing. She used to pretend to be a health inspector in order to harass tenants, and, of course, record their ethnicities.
Donald Sterling’s lifetime ban is cause for celebration. But let’s make sure the team isn’t just going to a different racist slumlord with the same last name.

Frankie Muniz remains conspicuously silent about the Donald Sterling allegations.

But it’s not my problem. Not my chair, not my problem. I’m not going to offer any opinions. It’s just not appropriate.
— RE: Sterling, Mark Cuban finally found something to not be outspoken about.
"Yes! The Clippers’ ping pong ball comes up first again! Playoffs, here we come! Los Angeles is finally going to become a Clipper town! I can’t wait to call Frankie Muniz and tell him … wait, he traded what? For Mo Williams? And Jamario Moon? Why does my knee suddenly feel so sore…?"

Summer 1981: Donald Sterling buys the Clippers from Levin for $12.5 million, embarks on a quest to turn them into the worst franchise ever … and succeeds. You’ll see him at home games, Blake. He’s the old guy who sits midcourt, dresses like a nightclub singer, surrounds himself with cougars, loves Koreans and enters the locker room once a year to scream at everyone. Keep your distance.
