Starbury finally has his ring. Stephon Marbury scored 41 points in Game 5 of the Chinese Basketball Association Finals, lifting the Beijing Ducks to a 4-1 series victory over the Guangdong Tigers. Though he fouled out with a minute remaining, Marbury led the Ducks in scoring, keeping them ahead of Guangdong’s American stars Aaron Brooks and James Singleton. In what may come as a surprise to NBA fans, Marbury has been credited with providing leadership and toughness to the Ducks, and has really embraced his role in the CBA.
Who knows - Kevin Garnett is an unrestricted free agent this summer, and if he really wants to win another ring, he might want to head to Beijing.
