I’d eat imaginary food with RU-BI-OOOO and The Love Boys if I had the chance.

Time to dance, Minnesota! The Timberwolves win again tonight, this time taking down the San Antonio Spurs.
The T-Pups have now won 6 of their last 9 games and sit just one game under .500. The Love-Rubio-Adelman era is off to a good start.

I think we can all get used to watching Rubio and Love play together
Ricky Rubio is currently 7th in assists in the league and leading all rookies in the category. He is also shooting three pointers at a great clip — though a small sample, admittedly, [at 11 makes on 25 attempts] — and if he continues at this pace he will probably win Rookie of the Year (R.O.Y.) without a legitimate challenger.
Moreover, if he does pick up the R.O.Y., he will become the third member of the draft class of 2009 to have won it. (It’s such an odd circumstance to see three guys from the same draft class play their first season in three different years and then be this good, doing so. The other two are: Tyreke Evans and Blake Griffin.) Anyway, Ricky ain’t so bad, for a guy who was roundly ridiculed for being too soft to play in America, eh?
Ricky Rubio Arrives (by MNwolves)
I wonder if David Kahn will let him put “Ricky” on the back of his jersey.
NBA Live? PSP? Oh, wait, Ricky Rubio was born in 1990. Carry on, Ricky.

Ricky Rubio snuggles up with Pau Gasol after a EuroBall victory over France.
“Going to Minnesota would have just complicated my life a lot. It was a risk and I didn’t see it so clearly. My priority was the NBA and it was impossible for the Minnesota Timberwolves to pay my buyout clause, so I wanted to stay home.” -Ricky Rubio
In other words, it was impossible to find the right amount of endorsement deals to help with the buyout. Also, Rubio enjoys flippin’ the bird. Look at how subtle he is!

Apparently, Rubio got a glimpse of that Reggie Theus photo and decided to stay put for another couple of years.
Yahoo’s rather excellent Ball Don’t Lie has a story about Ricky Rubio singing a deal with Barcelona. However by the end of the story, there’s an update/footnote for the Almighty Adrian Wojnarowski stating that there’s no deal in place.
So, T’Wolves fan, take it with a grain of salt. At least you guys have Jonny Flynn and his name is very fun to yell! Jonny Flynn!!!!
