During halftime of the Knicks game tonight, J.R. Smith decided to play with the kids a little bit. Never change J.R.

After this Tweet from Yahoo’s Marc Spears, the Internet is ablaze as it seems multiple sources believe Knicks will allow Jeremy Lin to leave —wasting his Bird Rights— for the Rockets offer sheet & replace him by reacquiring Ray Felton in a S/T with the Blazers.

Oh, also, NY will not match Raptors offer sheet to Landry Fields.

Knick fans, what say you?

Have we seen the last of both Jeremy Lin & Landry Fields in Knicks unis?

Well, it was fun while it lasted. Landry Fields, a restricted FA, has signed an offer sheet that, even if you love the Stanford product, is probably foolish for the Knickerbockers to match, especially considering the make up of the roster, their existing needs, plus the money already committed to their own “Big 3”.

Meanwhile, ESPN is reporting that Jeremy Lin is scheduled to meet with the Houston Rockets on Wednesday. If Lin were to sign an offer from Houston, it would put the NYK in an awfully tough spot. Do they match it & commit themselves to terms that may take them beyond the realm of good basketball business? Maybe not. Houston has already shown they are not shy in making expensive, difficult to match offers to other club’s restricted FA’s(see Omer Asik & the Bulls). Would they really give Lin a 5 year/$40+ million deal based off a half season of great play?

Knicks Knation won’t sleep very well until they get an answer.

Jeremy Lin Anthem: Linsane in the Brain

Lin’s presence in New York is being forged into a might marketing sword for both the Knicks and advertisers. So a Lin-anthem was just a matter of time. Personally, I’m holding out for the Jeremy Lin fathead.

This might become a bigger phenomenon than Tebow, mainly because Jeremy Lin is actually good at what he does.

Look at these fashionistas

The coolest dudes to get swept in the first round doing fashion stuff at the MET for the Costume Institute Gala. Stat and Melo accompanied the likes of Jay-Z and Beyonce, Kanye West, Amy Poehler and Rashida Jones (Parks!), and of course Amar’e’s new BFF Anna Wintour.

You see, life consists of giving yourself these problems that can be dealt with, so you don’t have to face the problems that can’t be dealt with. It’s very meaningful to me, for instance, to see if the Knicks are going to get over some problem or another. These are matters you can get involved with, safely, and pleasurably, and the outcome doesn’t hurt you.
