Any kid who grew up in the 90’s knows about NERF. And Kevin Durant once again continues to rule the off-season/lockout by unveiling these new NERF insipred KD IVs for his charity game in Oklahoma City.

Gil the self-proclaimed “Sneaker Champ" wearing Military Blue Air Jordan IV’s. Sadly, the only kind of champ Gilbert will ever be.

Happy Gil aka Hibachi aka Agent Penny was officially back and so was his shoe game: a pair of Nike Air More Uptempos. Good move ditching your fancy $400 D&G shoes for some Scottie Pippens.

NBA Kicks Hall of Fame
Shoe: Reebok Kamikaze IIPlayer: Shawn KempYear(s): 1995-1996
In the 1995-1996 season, the Seattle SuperSonics changed their get-up from the green/gold Helvetica uni’s to the forest green and brick Space Needle threads. With the new look, and new kicks, Shawn Kemp (along with Detlef Schrempf, Hersey Hawkins, Sam Perkins, and Gary Payton) led the Sonics to their first NBA Finals since 1979. MJ and the Bulls would become the victors (obvs) but Shawn Kemp and his Kamikaze’s definitely had something to say.
Ironically though, Shawn’s best season numbers-wise was two years later when he was overweight battling alcohol and coke addiction with the Cavs. Guess it’s not the shoes then huh?

Rare sneakers: Clyde Drexler Kangaroo’s
Need some sneakers to match your 90’s Portland Trailblazers/Clyde Drexler tees? Well what better than a pair of game-worn ROOS from The Glyde himself. Vastly overshadowed by the Air Jordans, Clyde’s red and white kangaroo joints with the velcro strap are quite the rarity in both the shoe game as well as the NBA world. I mean what basketball player wears ROOS, honestly?
Sadly, the only place I’ve been able to find these, auctioned them off for $759.00, and that was roughly 3 years ago. A similar model, the Sky Walker’s, have turned up in Scandinavia, but are a pale comparison to OG Drexler’s. Nevertheless, this particular shoe holds a special place in the echelon of basketball sneakers somewhere above Karl Malone’s LA Gear’s and below Patrick Ewing’s Rogues.
