Actually, that falling-out-of-bounds three was only the second-boldest thing Kevin Durant attempted tonight.

Kevin Durant, the greatest H-O-R-S-E player of all time, delivers a four-point play.

The refs pretended to review the play to see if KD stayed in bounds, but secretly they just wanted to watch that shot five more times.

My immediate reaction was, “Oh, that’s cool.” My second reaction was, “I’m not sure Colossus is the X-Man I’d most associate Kevin Durant with.” My third reaction was, “Well, who is the X-Man I’d most associate Kevin Durant with?”
Looks like I have a pretty busy day ahead of me.

That’s easy; Iceman.
From IGN:

Believe it or not, Iceman is one of the rare Omega mutants, a being potentially more powerful than Magneto or Xavier. This potential, however, may never be reached, because Bobby has little faith in himself. Despite his own personal issues, Iceman has been an X-Man almost his entire life. As with the best students, Bobby’s time at Xavier’s is about more than just The Dream — it’s about his own personal journey, one that sees him continuing to learn and grow.

Makes me think about how Durant’s been special since before he made it to the NBA stage. But he’s always been humble. So humble, in fact, that his humility borders on, or appears as if, he lacks confidence in himself. Not that he doesn’t know that he has a multitude of talent, but that he doesn’t know just how good that talent is and he certainly doesn’t realize how much better he can be. The man works hard, there’s no doubting that and his journey in the NBA has been special. He’s the one guy that can actually surpass LeBron and Kobe in greatness.

Nightmares DO come true. Thanks Haterade!

I haven’t seen him on the bench. I haven’t played against him so I’m not worried about guys that’s not even in our series.
— Kevin Durant, who has no time for Royce White’s trash talk. Jordan Crawford has yet to weigh in.
