*important addendum: it’s supposed to say the ‘96 Bulls. The ‘85 Bulls featured Mike Smrek in the post, so…
Guess who’s bizzack?
“Derrick Rose said at this morning’s shoot around that if he does not play tonight against the Celtics at the United Center he expects to play Sunday when the Bulls travel to New York to take on the Knicks.”
The Bulls have been “THUNDERSTRUCK”!
“Well, it’s up to Baron now.”
The Chicago vs. Milwaukee game was a lot like the 90s in that it ended with a Bulls game winner.
Derrick Rose is not amused by your dancing.

An Alternate Opinion on the MVP Race.
Yes, LeBron James is in the midst of a great season and the Heat are doing incredibly well. This shouldn’t shock any one since LeBron James is one of the greatest players in the history of the Association and he plays along with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh in a weak conference (If the playoffs were to start today in the Eastern Conference, two teams with below 500 records would make the cut). All of this is expected of LeBron James. There are two things you should always be able to count on: water being wet and LeBron James having a great night. Perhaps, I have a narrow, an extremely narrow perspective on James’ game, but it just felt like what he did with the Cavaliers was more impressive than the Heat. I can’t explain it, but James seems more impressive when he has to lean on the likes of Anderson Varejao and Boobie Gibson in the clutch than Dwyane Wayne and Shane Battier.
When I think of an MVP, I think of a player that not only contributes in terms of stats but also affects the culture of the team. Look at what Tony Parker is doing with the Spurs this season. There’s Chris Paul and his complete overhaul of the Clippers. There’s Kevin Durant and Derrick Rose and Dirk Nowitzk and Lou Williams. If you want to drink the kool aid, you could even throw Jeremy Lin and Ricky Rubio’s names into the MVP race as well.
Look, it’s entirely too early to declare who’s the MVP of this truncated season, but it’s not a one player competition. There’s still a lot of games left.
Derrick “Sexy” Rose
By the way, I totally consider Joakim Noah to be a European player. I know he’s born in New York and raised out here, but he played for the French National team and he totally rocks a Sock Bun*.
*If you’re a single dude or you have no idea how your girl gets those killer curls and you’re wondering why all of your fresh NBA socks have disappeared, youtube “sock bun”.

Dead-even split on ESPN, so we turn to you.
Who would you take?

Derrick Rose, Flawless Victory.
Oh, by the way, one of my favorite NBA sites (HoopSpeak.com) is now on tumblr. It’s not the full blow, word-heavy HoopSpeak, but it is the brilliantly illustrated one, so, follow them.
Rose drove past Teague and scored over the Hawks’ Josh Smith with 9.9 seconds left in the game to put the Bulls up 74-73.
Strangely enough, I made this image minutes before tipoff. Coincidence?
