Joakim Noah and Taj Gibson combine for three technicals and two ejections after the officials, as Steve Kerr says, “blatantly miss a couple calls in a row.” The game was already out of hand, but it got especially out of hand after Ray Allen completed the extremely rare six-point play.

Keep watching until the end for some Taj Gibson lip-reading fun - I think he says “Forget you, melon farmer!”

Though he started off Game Two by making his first six shots from the field, LeBron James did NOT actually get “on fire” like an NBA Showtime character - these are just pre-game pyrotechnics.

On the other side, Tom Thibodeau failed to put in the cheat code quickly enough, and was again unable to unlock the Derrick Rose hidden character.

“ Derrick’s a brother. And to see him go through this is tough, but at the end of the day it’s really funny how quick people are to judge. But people don’t know what it’s like to lead a team, especially after you tore your ACL. If you tore your ACL and you have to be the starting point guard and have the expectations that Derrick has, then maybe you can judge, but everybody who hasn’t been in that situation before should really shut up because I feel like it’s just so unfair to him and to this team. We’re fighting, and everybody’s going to just s—- on somebody who’s been giving so much to this organization. It’s crazy to me.

NBA Playoffs throwback: Chicago Bulls vs. Miami Heat, 2011, Eastern Conference finals

Three N-A-S-T-Y Derrick Rose dunks against the Heat including the solved murder of Joel Anthony. We all know the rest of this story. The Heat would go on to win the series in 5 games, and the injured D. Rose has not played in only one playoff game since.

The rematch begins tonight at 8PM ET on TNT.

In which Michael Jordan shoots an effortless 72% from the field(!!!) and goes 3-3 from 3, scoring 38 points to complete a 3 game sweep of the Nets in the Meadowlands.

“ The medical recommendation for Rose by the surgery was eight to 12 months. It is now 10 months in. As Thibodeau says, right on schedule. Not necessarily to play, but in rehabilitation. And as I’ve noted, even if Rose returns this season it’s only as a part time player. Though it is a good lesson for him as it was for LeBron. Most don’t love you. They cheer for you so they can experience their own good feelings, be it their team or their wager or them declaring themselves a winner by you efforts. It’s the other side of what athletes say about the game becoming a business. Players unfortunately find out they are equally disposable to many fans. Can you blame them that much when they then don’t stop for autographs or blow off appearances. Now here’s a kid who has been a wonderful role model, never in trouble, dedicated to his family, taking terrible blows in games like those vicious falls after being smacked down by Dwight Howard and playing though excruciating pain and putting himself on the line in big playoff games again and again against the top players in the league, bringing home to Chicago honors and declaring his fidelity to the city. So he has a career changing injury. And yes, an injury like that often does change your career. While just a kid, just 23 years old. You are indestructible one day and the next you can’t walk or stand up without help and you have to go through long day after long day learning to walk again and it’s not even a year yet in a doctor’s recommendation that full recovery isn’t for 12 to 18 months and people are calling you names. So you wonder why athletes get like they do sometimes. I’m not suggesting Derrick is or even hears this stuff as he stays pretty much to his family and the team. I’m around the team enough to know his relationship with the players isn’t any different than it was a year ago
