Carmelo Anthony is cheesin hard on the cover of the Wall Street Journal magazine and deservedly so, considering the week he’s had:
4/2 - scored 50 vs. Miami (18/26 from the field, 7/10 from three-point range)4/3 - scored 40 vs. Atlanta (17/27 from the field)4/5 - scored 41 vs. Milwaukee (17/28 from the field, 14 rebs)4/7 - scored 36 vs. OKC (15/29 from the field, 12 rebs, 50% from three-point range)4/7 - became #1 scorer in the league averaging 28.44 points a game, beating out Kevin Durant’s average of 28.354/8 - named Eastern Conference Player of the Week
Melo also has a lot to smile about considering the Knicks have won 12 straight since March 17th plus last week’s Eastern Conference Player of the Week went to fellow Knickerbocker J.R. Smith.
Or maybe we should all just take Ricky Rubio’s advice.

Melo goes for 50.

Melo x Game of Thrones

(Source: twitter.com)

This photo from Melo’s twitter means that he either bought the $30,000 Game of Thrones “Iron Throne” replica and sits on it in his home while pondering (which is AWESOME), or he goes to nerdy conventions just to get his photo taken on the Iron Throne. Either way, Carmelo Anthony is a Game of Thrones fan and we approve.

Craig Sager, unofficial NBA ambassador, manages to diffuse Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Garnett’s beef as they share a laugh together in making fun of his very turquoise suit. Bless this man.

Playing For The City That Made Me: Episode 2

Well, No. 1, I know what’s been reported did not happen. I know that as a fact.
I’ve seen way worse stuff in the ’80s, and I wasn’t even born in the ’80s.
Jared Sullinger, on the Garnett-Anthony semi-fight. I know security was involved, but what was the risk, really? Carmelo would throw one punch and then backpedal for 100 feet, while Garnett hasn’t mixed it up with a non-Euro since Anthony Peeler in ‘04. If Carmelo were a 5’11” Slovenian point guard, maybe then there’d be something to worry about.
