Nate Robinson won Eastern Conference player of the week for, among other things, really really really annoying the hell out of Brandon Jennings.

Brandon Jennings(!) in a nutshell.

Despite LeBron James going for 40 points, Brandon Jennings and the Milwaukee Bucks came from behind and upset the Heat last night, 105-97.

Off-Season Power Rankings:
1. Kevin Durant
2. LeBron James
3. Brandon Jennings
4. Gilbert Arenas’ Twitter Account
5. Kobe’s 26 minutes on Twitter.
1,072. Chris Bosh’s wedding.
By the way, if you aren’t following our sister blog, NFL Off-season, you’re missing out on some great coverage. They’re like a bunch of shutdown corners over there!
NFLOffseason:

Brandon Jennings: Raider Fan.
I’ve always felt like Jennings would be a Raider fan just because he, like most of the Raiders fans, players, coaches and even all the way up to ownership, just doesn’t give a f*** about what you think of him.
Perhaps both the Raiders and Jennings are destined to have a great season, the Raiders are off to a 1-0 start for the first time in nearly a decade. And another first for The Nation, Jason Campbell and Darren McFadden shoulder a legit offense to finally balance out their mean hitting defense. Jennings has also had a good summer, making big moves all off-season, from interning at Under Armour to putting up big numbers in Pro-Am games.
I don’t know if it’s possible, but if the Raiders keep on winning, I will demand to see more Raiders-jeans-shorts-overalls. And all of you thought Dwyane Wade’s the most fashionable man in the NBA? Ha!

Brandon Jennings has a beautiful jumper. I am a big fan of lefties that can knock down shots. Looks so awkward that it’s cool.

NBA Off Season Preview: Milwaukee Bucks

Fear the Deer, baby!

The Bucks are galloping under the radar this year and that’s not a bad thing. The Eastern Conference has become a melting pot of TMZ and Jackass 3D. The Bucks don’t fit  that mold and that’s not a bad thing. What is a bad thing is Andrew Bogut’s long road back after that horrific elbow injury. The success of this team hinges on that elbow and how soon Andrew is back to 100%.

The Bucks have a young, exciting, well coached team. Bogut is a top 5 center in the NBA, Brandon Jennings is an explosive young point guard, Ersan Ilyasova had himself a great FIBA World Championship run and Johnny Fish is one of the most underrated scorers in the NBA.

Key Departures

Luke Ridnour

The Bucks had a lot of Roster movement this off-season but none were as important to their success last year as Luke Ridnour. Luke was the offensive relief off the bench for the entire second half of the season as Brandon Jennings continued to struggle shooting the ball. In limited minutes (21 mpg) Ridnour managed to put up 10.4 ppg and 4.0 apg and execute Coach Scott Skiles offense with great results. The Bucks are hoping the addition of Earl Boykins will help make up for the loss of Luke.

Key Additions

Corey “Bad Porn” Maggette, Chris “love my haters" Douglas-Roberts, Drew Gooden, Earl Boykins, Jon Brockman, Larry Sanders

I can’t believe Drew Gooden got paid like that. If I were an NBA player, I would immediately fire my agent and hire his.

Chris Douglas-Roberts is a capable scorer but has a ways to go before he is starter material.

Earl Boykins is actually a great player for this team. They are going to need scoring and speed off the bench to fill in for Jennings whenever he comes out of the game. Earl is the perfect compliment.

You know why they call Maggette “Bad Porn”, right?

Jon Brockman isn’t going to get a lot of minutes, in fact he might register more DNPs than GS this year. But that isn’t the point. Brockman is a high energy rebounder off the bench and that’s something every team needs. Last year Brockman nabbed 19% of all available rebounds.

I’m a big fan of Larry Sanders, he might not start this year but he is going to be a good NBA player for years to come.

Conclusion

The Bucks won 46 games last year mainly on the coattails of their defense (#2 over all in the NBA, 103.1 DRtg). With the Cavs, division champs last year, apocalypse that took place over the off-season, the division is a toss up between the Bucks and the Chicago Bulls. With both Carlos Boozer and Andrew Bogut trying to recover from injuries to start the season, the division championship will ultimately be determined by which one of those two returns to their respective teams first. Personally, I would fear the deer if I were a Bulls fan.

Fun Stuff

- Milwaukee will win the Central Division this year.

- Brandon Jennings will have at least one 50 point game and will delete his twitter account at least 4 times.

NBA Elite 11 from EA Sports looks incredible. Almost as good as NBA 2k11. Except there is one major problem in their promo video: BRANDON JENNINGS IS NOT RIGHT HANDED!

Thanks to Zach Harper for pointing that one out and I hope EA fixes that before the game drops.

@Suga_Shane

Brandon Jennings, Nick Young and other NBA players spend their off-season just like you would think they do, by playing a lot of basketball.

A lot of those off-season sessions have taken place at the HAX in Los Angeles this summer. Check the video for more.

It’s good to see Shaun Livingston ball out like this and this might also be the first time we have mentioned Nick Young on this blog.

Brandon Jennings having some fun in the off-season. You know, summertime in Milwaukee is actually a lot similar to the summers Brandon spent growing up in Compton. Except when guys are wearing khakis and taking aim, I’m pretty sure it’s not silly string that comes out though.
