We’ve done some cool things on the site regarding logos this past month which got me thinking. Ever notice how mad this bull looks? It looks almost as mad as Kendrick Perkins. But why so angry? Sure as hell isn’t because of a lack of frontcourt depth, or because the coach can’t manage his rotation. It’s not mad at its MVP guard, or its small forward for his effort, or its big men for their mobility.
Maybe it’s mad at itself for taking so damn long to get going in the playoffs? For letting Psycho T punk them one game, and Josh Smith another? It could be mad at the prognosticators who thought the aging Celtics, with a one-armed point guard, would be the springboard to Miami’s coronation, or at all those easy comparisons to the ‘01 Sixers (As if, by the way. Did you see Tyrone Hill tonight? His name was Taj Gibson).
Mad at Oprah, maybe? The price of gas? Wanted to see the Bin Laden photo?
I don’t know why. I guess I’ll never know, seeing as this “bull” is a design logo that has no actual human emotions. But I know this, and it’s an old axiom: the angry team always win.
