This Day In NBA History: The New York Knickerbockers celebrate the 40th anniversary of their 1969-70 championship.
Also of note: a special halftime ceremony will take place at the Garden tomorrow featuring most members of the championship team (Phil Jackson won’t be in attendance due to a Laker game).
Tomorrow’s game also just happens to be the first game with the new Knicks roster featuring a certain Carmelo Anthony. A well-timed passing of the torch perhaps? But are the Knicks even in the discussion to make it to the finals though? Double complete coincidence…WHAT DOES IT MEAN???
