Eduardo Najera had a heroic effort for the severely short-handed Nets, but in the end, New Jersey ran out of gas.  Consolation for the Nets:

1. LeBron hung out with minority owner Jay-Z tonight at the Garden.
2. At 0-6, they have the inside track in the John Wall sweepstakes; maybe LeBron wants to play with him.
3. Anytime you have to play Trenton Hassell for 45 minutes and only lose by three, that’s a moral victory.
