ESPN is reporting that the Lamar Odom experiment is over in Dallas. The two parties have reached an agreement that will send Odom on his way and the Mavericks will simply list him as inactive on the roster.
Odom said:

“I’m sorry that things didn’t work out better for both of us, but I wish the Mavs’ organization, my teammates and Dallas fans nothing but continued success in the defense of their championship.”

Lamar Odom is a special and unique snowflake who requires a certain level of treatment and care. The kind of care that any normal basketball coach is not going to give; only the Phil Jackson kind of care. Here’s to hoping that Odom is able to clear his head and find the basketball way, again.
