FEBRUARY 1, 2012 WAIVER WIRE PICKUPS
Hello Fantasy nerds, and welcome to the first installment of NBA Off-Season’s Weekly Waiver Wire Pickups. Presenting four players worthy of picking up from your league’s waiver wire. Note: I am not a Fantasy expert so vulture these guys up at your own risk!
(in no order)
Landry Fields - SG
Last 5 games:
18 pts 1 blk 5 stl 3 ast 5 reb
0 pts 0 blk 1 stl 1 ast 3 reb
14 pts 0 blk 1 stl 1 ast 7 reb
13 pts 0 blk 1 stl 1 ast 5 reb
18 pts 2 blk 2 stl 7 ast 3 reb
Michael Beasley - SF/PF
Last 3 games:
34 pts 0 blk 1 stl 1 ast 3 reb
18 pts 1 blk 2 stl 3 ast 12 reb
7 pts 0 blk 0 stl 2 ast 4 reb
Tiago Splitter - PF/C
Last 5 games:
4 pts 0 blk 0 stl 1 ast 7 reb
8 pts 0 blk 1 stl 0 ast 7 reb
12 pts 2 blk 1 stl 3 ast 7 reb
16 pts 1 blk 0 stl 2 ast 8 reb
12 pts 0 blk 1 stl 0 ast 6 reb
Drew Gooden - PF/C
Last 5 games:
16 pts 1 blk 0 stl 1 ast 5 reb
23 pts 0 blk 1 stl 1 ast 8 reb
23 pts 1 blk 0 stl 6 ast 15 reb
11 pts 1 blk 3 stl 2 ast 2 reb
13 pts 1 blk 0 stl 2 ast 6 reb
Having picked up 3 of these 4, I can personally vouch for Gooden and Beasley being solid pickups. Splitter has been consistent on rebounds but is up and down with points. Fields had one off game but has been putting up double-digit points every game so pick him up if you need to fill up a Guard position.
