Dwyane Wade of the Miami Heat continues recruitment of Lamar Odom in LA - ESPN

Things that Kobe Bryant or any other Lakers player has done to get Odom to stay in LA: Zero or at least that we know of publicly.

It’s been said many, many, many times that Lamar is a wacky dude and he’s a sensitive spirit. Despite only playing one season together, Wade and Heat president Pat Riley are doing one helluva of a job of making a guy feel welcomed and that’s he needed and wanted. While on the other hand, the team actually needs Lamar the most, the team that will not make it pass the Western Conference finals without him are playing too hard to get. It almost seems as if the Lakers have already given up on resigning Lamar this off season, but nothing is signed yet. There is still time for Kobe, Gasol, Ron Ron and Phil Jackson to do their Jerry Maguire moment and tell Lamar that he completes them.

However with the Lamar saga ending, potentially, sometime this week, the real losers in this situation will be the sports talk radio hosts in Southern California. With the Doyers and the Angels struggling, no NFL team and weeks away from the start of college football, what are they going to talk about for three hours?
